  2. You guys are WAY off about Nintendo appealing to the hardcore market.
    Nintendo cannot take the loss on hardware like Microsoft or Sony can. Nintendo’s annual budget is barely more than what Microsoft lost on replacing xbox 360s during the red ring of death. Because of this Nintendo tech will NEVER be equal to the other big 2 because they will always have to use older/cheaper tech. Nintendo has to rely on innovation, not horsepower to sell games…2nd point is how can you say that Nintendo must lean heavily on their star franchises to sell consoles and then dog the 3ds lineup at E3 because the games are rehashes!?
